Facebook and Yahoo Bury the Hatchet Form Ad Deal

Facebook and Yahoo have been in a court battle for most of the year, suing each other over ad patent technology. They have now come to an agreement, dropped the lawsuits and formed an ad deal. [URL="http://pressroom.yahoo.net/pr/ycorp/236239.aspx"]Yahoo announced[/URL] the truce earlier this week. MediaPost reports: "Under their agreement, which includes cross-licensing of patents, the companies said they will jointly “bring consumers and advertisers premium media experiences promoted and distributed across both Yahoo and Facebook.” They also plan to collaborate on multiple “tentpole” and anchor events in the next several years, combining Yahoo’s live event coverage with social integrations via Facebook.
