Stores Losing Traffic Under The New Google + Local

When Google Places changed into [URL="http://www.internetmarketingclub.org/entry.php/520-Google-Retires-Places-in-Favor-of-Google-Pages"]Google+ Local two weeks ago[/URL], one of the changes that came along with it was that Zagat ratings replaced Google's previous yellow star ranking system. That change meant that the listings in the search engine results pages show up differently without the stars and because of that, businesses listed in the local results are losing traffic. An [URL="http://www.seroundtable.com/google-maps-stars-gone-15290.html"]SERoluntable[/URL] article cites a thread from Google's Business Help forum: "A [URL="http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/business/htAY0myJQAw"]Google Business Help[/URL] thread has one merchant who said on average he received 30-60 visits per day from Google from his maps result and not it is down to 0 to 5 visits per day. He said it is "destroying" his business:"
