Very true! The defrost is a nice touch. The Google doodle today was also fun, I always like when they are interactive like that. If you haven't seen it, go on over to Google.com to check it out!

    Google Doodles

Speaking of Google Doodles, did you see this? http://www.google.com/doodle4google/

Doodle 4 Google is a competition where we invite K-12 students to use their artistic talents to think big and redesign Google’s homepage logo for millions to see. At Google, we believe that dreaming about future possibilities leads to tomorrow’s leaders and inventors, so this year we invited U.S. kids to exercise their creative imaginations around the theme, "What I’d like to do someday…"Whether students wanted to find a cure for cancer or take a trip to the moon, it all started with art supplies and some 8.5" x 11" paper. One lucky student artist, Matteo Lopez, has taken home a $15,000 college scholarship and $25,000 technology grant for his school. In addition, his artwork will appear on the Google.com homepage for millions to see.

Oh I don't think I saw that video, very cool. I remember years ago Google had a Google Doodle contest for kids and it was very memorable for me. I really enjoyed it.

I can't pick just one favorite Google Doodle, so my top 3 are:

Houdini (because my brother is a magician)
    Earth Day
    Lucille Ball

and I really liked the cute Summer Solstice one! : )

    What about you?

I liked the I <3 Lucy one too! The Charlie Chaplin and Freddy Mercury ones were great too. I find the interactive and animated/video style doodles to be the most impressive.

    MLK Day Google Doodle

Google has commemorated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day for the 7th year in a row with a Google Doodle. Today's doodle depicts Dr. King surrounded by young faces and a line from his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. It also includes the title of a famous civil rights protest song "We Shall Overcome Someday".

Check out the doodle below, or head over to Google.com to check out the real thing.
