In a report this week, comScore released information and statistics on the market share of the 3 major search engines. The good news for Yahoo was that it did not lose ground as it did the last 10 months in a row; but the best news probably goes to Bing which "grew for the second straight month, upping its market share from 15.6 percent in June to 15.7 percent in July. Bing was at 14.4 percent in July 2011.For Yahoo, there was good news: Yahoo search (which is powered by Bing) didn’t lose any market share for the first time in 10 months, holding steady at 13 percent. The bad news? Last July, Yahoo’s search share was a much healthier 16.1 percent. Bing seems to be on a good news toll, two days after the market share report, Bing is getting more social, with increased social results in the search engine results pages. Search Engine Watch says, "The concept of social results to Bing is simple: tap into the "collective wisdom of your social network" to help you make decisions about what you're searching.
Bing has kept their relationship with Twitter, expanded their relationships with Facebook this spring and summer, and now has added Quora into the mix. Clearly, Bing is continuing to work more toward an immersive user experience in search."

On the other hand, some speculate that this move is not good for Bing's search value and that it is bringing in too much social. What do you think?
