Google announced a new addition to the over 200 signals already in their algorithm today. The [URL="http://insidesearch.blogspot.com/2012/08/an-update-to-our-search-algorithms.html"]Inside Search[/URL] blog featured a post with information on the newest signal: "Sites with high numbers of removal notices may appear lower in our results. This ranking change should help users find legitimate, quality sources of content more easily—whether it’s a song previewed on [URL="http://www.npr.org/music/"]NPR’s music website[/URL], a TV show on [URL="http://www.hulu.com/"]Hulu[/URL] or new music streamed from [URL="http://www.spotify.com/"]Spotify[/URL].[COLOR=#000000]" [/COLOR]Google added a blurb that they do not know if information is copyrighted, they go by court orders.
