Job Openings At Four Year High

Rate this Entry
The news is positive and hopeful for job seekers as NPR reports that job openings are at the most they have been in almost four years. According to the NPR article, this is for jobs in the United States job market. Also quoted from the article, "The Labor Department said Tuesday that employers advertised 3.74 million job openings in March. That's up from a revised 3.57 million in February. The March figure was the highest since July 2008, just before the financial crisis erupted that fall." Even though there was a slow down for March and April in job openings listed, the Labor Department says that is a temporary lull as all the job openings from the months prior to that may not be filled yet. Although the unemployment problem for America is not yet over, it seems to be slowly recovering.
