Your Google Account Activity

Google has added a new feature for users, it is a detailing of your account activity done each month while you were logged into your Google account. As marketers, we often study the metrics of visitors, customers, and clients, but most of the time, we do not analyze our own activity. According to [URL="http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2012/03/giving-you-more-insight-into-your.html"]Google's blog post[/URL] on this new account feature, you can review your monthly statistics of email usage, searches, and where you spent your time online (work computer vs. home vs. mobile). Here are some of the interesting stats from the blog post from a Googler:

[I]"Today we’re introducing [URL="https://www.google.com/settings/activity"]Account Activity[/URL], a new feature in your Google Account. If you sign up, each month we’ll send you a link to a password-protected report with insights into your signed-in use of Google services.

For example, my most recent Account Activity report told me that I sent 5 percent more email than the previous month and received 3 percent more. An Italian hotel was my top Gmail contact for the month. I conducted 12 percent more Google searches than in the previous month, and my top queries reflected the vacation I was planning: [rome] and [hotel]."[/I]
