Google Improving Health Related Search Results

Internet users more and more turn to the Internet to "Google" health symptoms in an effort to find a reason, diagnosis or cause to a health issue they are having. Google reported via the [URL="http://insidesearch.blogspot.com/2012/02/improving-health-searches-because-your.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+InsideSearch+(Inside+Search)&utm_content=Google+Reader"]Inside Search blog[/URL] this week that they are making efforts to return better results to symptom searches in an effort to help direct searchers in the right direction. "[Google's] data shows that a search for symptoms is often followed by a search for a related condition.

To make the process easier, now when you search for a symptom or set of symptoms, you'll often see a list of possibly related health conditions that you can use to refine your search. The list is generated by our algorithms that analyze data from pages across the web and surface the health conditions that appear to be related to your search."
