Rate this Entry
Much has been written about how Google + is more than just "social" media since it is Google after all. Here are 5 ways to ensure that your Google + account can help your site's search engine rankings.

1. Get More Followers: In other social sites followers are just followers but on Google + followers are also people who will be served your +1s when they are searching.

2. Set Up Authorship with Your Personal Profile. If you are a writer, you can have articles you have written featured under your listings on Google searches.

3. Connect Your Website. Use Google Connect to let Google know that your Google Plus brand page is yours and it can help further dominate the results pages by adding your Google Plus profile page to those results.

4. Encourage +1s. +1s are worth more than "likes" because they affect that person's friends and followers search results too.

5. Fill Our Information. The information and links on your Google profile and Google + page are often used in search results.
