Social Media Spurred Sales for Independent Retailers in 2011

Rate this Entry
Here's hoping for more sales for independent retailers in 2012 too. Social media can level the playing field in terms of budget for many smaller and independent retailers with low, little or no budget for advertising. Twitter, Facebook, and other social media outlets can really help those independent retailers get the word out. It appears that this trend will continue and even expand in 2012 with more local shopping and local advertising options available with increased smart phone usage.
