Reconsider Heavy Ads - Google May Penalize Your Ranking for It

Google's head quality control engineer and webspam team leader Matt Cutts was a keynote speaker at [URL="http://www.pubcon.com/"]Pubcon's convention[/URL] this week and one of the things he hit on is something that you should pay close attention to: The amount of ad space real estate on your site might mean it is penalized in Google's ranking if there is too many ads on the page. He specifically mentioned that Google will be looking at what you deem important as "above the fold" and taking that into consideration.
