Are QR Codes Here to Stay? They are if you get a tattoo of one!

Rate this Entry
The good thing about a QR code, is you can always change the destination URL, so in that aspect, it is not as "permanent" as other tattoos. However, tattooing yourself with a QR code is still a bit too much to fathom. That being said, the campaign for this Ballantine's whiskey called "Leave an Impression" is certainly achieving that and brownie points for innovation as well.

Marc [the guy getting tattooed] says the whisky company approached him and asked if he would be interested in executing the tattoo — a QR code that unlocked an animation when scanned — via a live stream on the brand’s Facebook Page. The brand is doing similar events with other artists, from ice sculptors to graffiti artists.

Crazy! I've seen a lot of QR code tattoos online. At least you have the ability to change whatever page it's linked to so its almost like having a tattoo you can change as often as you want. I wonder if anyone will bother with barcode tattoos anymore...
