Rate this Entry
Netflix had a terrible September, their value decreased almost by half and they angered customers with their rate hike and baffled the media with their efforts to recover by splitting off the company and rebranding DVD delivery service.

From Mashable:

Netflix has reportedly signed a contract to bring films from DreamWorks Animation to its streaming service, shortly afterinking a similar deal with Discovery.
The deal has not been confirmed by either company, but theNew York Times claims the deal is worth $30 million per picture in a multi-year arrangement.
However, the Times reports popular DreamWorks animated films such as Shrek and Kung Fu Panda will not be available until 2013.
The deal comes hot on the heals of a major Netflix controversy, as the service alienated many of its customerswith a price increase this summer. It later separated and renamed its DVD rental service Qwikster.
If true, the DreamWorks partnership is good news for Netflix, which faces increasingly stiff competition. Three days ago, Dish Network announced its Netflix competitor, Dish Network with BlockBuster Movie Pass, which will debut Oct. 1. Existing subscribers will get access to DVD, Blu-ray and video game rentals by mail as well as access to movie and TV show streaming for an additional $10 fee.
