There has been much written in the media lately about privacy and tracking issues and the upcoming legislation regarding internet privacy, online tracking, and cookie tracking. Explaining all about the recent incidents in the media regarding LinkedIn's privacy policy and Facebook's phone number sharing and explained in details why they are not a big deal! In fact, many issues regarding cookie tracking, and privacy policies are not an invasion of privacy and as internet marketers, it is imperative that we come together to educate the public and ourselves on these matters and promote best practices.

Online shoppers and consumers in general should be aware that cookie tracking and sharing of anonymous user data helps consumers by allowing them to be served relevant ads and also reduces the prices of products when companies receive in increase in their ROI (Return on Investment) that they are able to offer lower prices, smaller businesses stay in business and are able to keep serving their communities.
